HELP!

HELP! BEDFORD PLAYERS NEEDS SOMEBODY TO RUN THEIR RESERVATION LINE, FROM HOME, URGENTLY!!! For more details please email the Producer at riley49@eastlink.ca

Time on your hands? Looking for a new interest?

Ever thought about community theatre?

No, you don't have to act, unless that really interests you.

During Fall and Spring, Bedford Players stages productions enjoyed by between 1100-1300 very happy patrons. Perhaps you are one of them?

Have you ever wondered how many people it takes to put on a first class production? Apart from the cast, there could be as many as 102 unseen dedicated volunteers! Yes, it surprised us when we added them all up.

As you can see, we depend heavily on our wonderful Volunteers. Sadly, we seldom have 102 people available, so many of our volunteers end up filling multiple roles.

If you think you might be interested in joining our happy little group by donating a few hours, once or twice a year, why not call for more information or e-mail membership@bedfordplayers.ns.ca. 576-2377 or 462-4604.

Private Lives

Our production is Private Lives by Noel Coward and directed by Clair Henderson. Rehearsals are underway and coming along nicely. The cast occasionally giggles, so you know it's going to be a good production.

Private Lives runs from October 27th to November 12th (Thursdays to Saturdays at 7pm) and a matinée on Sunday, November 6th at 2pm.

Variety Show

Bedford Players' council members were invited to Dartmouth Players' 2nd Annual Pre-Season Variety Show. It was a fun evening filled with laughs and musical numbers. It runs until Saturday, September 17th. Oh, we should mention that Karen Waterfield, aka "Mrs. Piper", is in a 10-minute play as part of the variety show. You know you want to head over and cheer her on!

Council

Bedford Players council welcomes new members Sue Thexton as our treasurer and members-at-large Sandra van der Made, Ralf Dreimanis and Kim Shaw. Kim Shaw is also our producer for Private Lives.

Scholarship

Each year, Bedford Players offers a $500 scholarship to someone from one of our local high schools, recently graduated from one of our local high schools, or has participated in Bedford Players' productions. More information and application forms are available on our website.

Play Read

On Wednesday, 21st Sept. at 7:00pm we will be holding an informal 'Play Reading' of our Spring Production IT'S MURDER IN THE WINGS by Pat Cook. This is open to anyone that enjoys reading plays, listening to plays being read, or who may be interested in auditioning for this play in January and would like to learn more about it!
